What are you trading for....
Well, compensation varies depending on the project. For example, if I'm working towards a series for an exhibition (which I am) then compensation can only be prints and tears. If we are working towards a generic creative then high resolution images are provided. The number of the frames or pictures also varies. I'm not a high yield photographer. Meaning, I pre-plan my shoots and I know how many frames I'm going to walk away from even before we start. For portfolio usage this could be 2-4 images per session/looks. I have had as many as 9 some times - one session I had 147 images processed and released - but come expecting 2-4, that is what happens most of the times.... It all depends on the project and how the shoot goes.
Web Based Images
I provide JPG files with the longest of 900px in dimension. Processed and with my watermark. These can be used anywhere. I also provide non-watermarked images. So you can use either.
High Resolution Images
For high-resolution I provide TIFFs, on its original crop size. No watermark. Processed and sRGB profiled so they are easily printed at your favourite lab. I can also profile the images to print at Pikto which is where I get my prints done (metallic or otherwise). Profiles images are obviously better as they will print true to their colour. I don't provide JPGs for high-res, but I'm sure you can create a copy if you like.
Prints
I print on metallic paper and typically 9"x12", but if your port is a different paper material (glossy or matte) and size, this can be arranged. For series or exhibitions I print nothing smaller than 11"x14".
* one important note... if you are going to re-touch or alter an image, let me know and perhaps I can help. Or at least don't let me see them - ignorance is blessed some times :D
** Second important note... If you get paid we are not testing... I don't provide any other type of compensation to the crew who is getting paid for their craft/skills as I consider that double dipping . I'm more than willing to pay a fee for the craft and skills when I need them, but no double dipping... :D
