Preparing...
I'm sure you have heard this before, but here it goes just in case :-)
a) Make sure you have wax or shave your legs and armpits 3 days prior to a shoot. If you are modeling swimwear or lingerie, be sure you hit the bikini line.
b) If it has been a while since you had a trim or your hair is out of place, now is the time. Just be sure your hairdresser knows that he/she can't go too wild this time.
c) also check your nails... don't forget your toes... In swimwear or lingerie, this kind of thing is important... Generally, short and neutral (nude polish or a French manicure) is the desired look.
d) rest and get a good night sleep the night before. try not to wear anything too right (or elastics or socks) when you go to sleep and wear lose clothing on your way to the shoot. This will prevent those skin marks that takes me hours to remove with photoshop along your legs, waist and shoulders :-) NOTE THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT
e) On the day of the shoot, just have your hair washed. Do not wear any makeup not hair product. It makes it easier for the MUA to work and faster to complete the work.
f) make sure you pack the following extra things:
- a rope (don't want you to be cold when the lights are out)
- sandals (to match with the rope :-) - seriously, you want to keep comfy when waking around.
- Dress shields or clear, non-scented deodorant
You can also check out the internet (do a google on preparing for a photo shoot) for other good tips. But I think this list is the essential.
