re: TFCD
I shoot all the time... I like it, it helps me with my techniques, it keeps me busy and entertained. Besides, its an outlet and I keep producing work.
But... I don't trade for CD...
Why? - TFCD assumes that we are shooting and I will be handing a CD with all the images from the shoot. I'm not... I never release all the images from the session.
The way I work when the crew is collaborating, is that after the session is over - the crew (MUA/Model/Hair and wardrobe stylist) get access to a contact sheet of the shoot. This contact sheet is an edited list of images that are worth picking from. We then list the images we like (and the number depends on what we tested for) and I then proceed to process the images. Only processed images are released.
At the end of the day, I want to make sure you end up with processed images or prints that you can make use of. TFCD does not provide that (in my definition).
The medium on to which these images are released, and the number are discussed before we shoot... they are part of your compensation.
